The Role
As a Mine Surveyor you will be responsible for a wide variety of Open Cut coal mine surveying duties including:

  • Providing reliable survey control to the mining operation
  • Survey data & mine plan compilation
  • Undertaking routine surveys to measure movements to and from excavations, landforms and stockpiles
  • Tracking material production movements
  • Verification and conformance measuring of earthmoving, landform, ramp, road, stockpile, surface water site and infrastructure installation
  • Provide specialized technical troubleshooting for machine based GPS technology
  • The proper utilisation of drone and laser scanning technology to capture data
  • Updating survey information in the database

Skills and Experience 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Surveying
  • 3+ years Open Cut Coal experience
  • Experience with mine software
  • Experience with Risk Management Processes
