Cost Control Engineer

Contract duration: Seven months with opportunity for extension, you will be employed as a perm for the duration of the project. 
Roster: 3 weeks on 1 week off (Monday to Saturday)
Location: 50km from Dubbo or 350km west of Sydney 
Bus in and out and camp accommodation is supplied 

Key responsibilities,

  • Defining cost control, reporting and planning requirements
  • Identifying, developing and implementing tools and simplify cost control, reporting and planning processes  
  • Coordinating and delivering cost control and reporting activities 
  • Maintaining a current overall budget forecast and accruals 
  • Coordinating inputs and delivering the material to support 
  • Predicting and mitigating potential cost impacts by managing, monitoring and reporting any changes 

Qualifications, skills and experience,

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance or similar 
  • Min 5 years experience cost control, budgeting coordination and reporting experience 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders groups
  • Planning and reporting skills to deliver on time and to a high standard
  • Both an independent and collaborative style and be able to identify, initiate and deliver improvements and change opportunities
